I enjoy reading everyone else's blogs so this is my attempt at one! We are in the process to adopt another child from China. Our paperwork has been in China for a year and a half and we are still not even close to getting a referral. Ellie Grace was home within fourteen months from the date that we sent in our application to CCAI.
Our agency sent us an email a few months ago telling us that our fingerprints and other paperwork was about to expire and would have to re-done. This led to many discussions around our house as we didn't know if we should stick with the plan to adopt again or be content with the opportunity to adopt one child. Our talks led us to look at our agency's waiting child program and to learn more about it. We realized that many children need loving families. We then had to fill out a Medical Checklist and decide which conditions we could handle. This was not an easy task but we did submit it at the end of January.
