I started to re-read the post that I wrote to give everyone an update on Niklas.
I may not have needed to update the world on every detail...but it does help me to put my feelings into words.
We have had a good week. Niklas loves school! He was saying "MY TURN" the whole way home from picking Ellie Grace up on Tuesday because we were telling him that he would get to go on Wednesday. Ellie Grace is just as excited that her brother finally got to join her at school.
His teachers are wonderful and they have reported that he has had a great time in his new class!

It is great to hear how Niklas loves school. Our experience has been similar to yours in adopting an older child. We have had Pearl for 2 1/2 years now, and it is still a struggle. She is very intelligent and learns quickly, but she still seems very delayed emotionally. However, it does seem to get better every day.
